The Silver Ring Thing is this Sunday!
A special event for students will begin at 5:45 p.m. this Sunday, Nov. 5 at UNO’s Scott Conference Center!
The Silver Ring Thing is an event about love, sex, second chances and best choices. Students from middle school through college age will experience a radical response to culture’s view of love and relationships. Through community-wide outreach events and resources, SRT defies the meet-up, hook-up, break-up culture and will be inspired to a pure life centered in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Air Force Airman Jarell Roach will open the show promptly at 5:45 with his comedy act! Don’t miss it!
Then at 6 p.m., students will experience the concert-style, interactive event with drama and fun while learning important information to protect themselves in relationships. Parents have the option of attending a special session with topics that include:
- The role of parents in the abstinence decision
- The news you haven’t heard
- Debunking the ‘Safe Sex’ myth
- 8 key things every parent should do …and so much more!
Tickets can be purchased at silverringthing.com/events/omahane. They are $6 in advance, $8 at the door, $5 each for groups of 25+.
